A NEW TRADITION IS BORN…
ON DECEMBER 31, STARTING AT 7 P.M. ON PLACE JACQUES-CARTIER IN OLD MONTREAL
For the MERRY MONTREAL’s first edition, on the night of December 31, Place Jacques-Cartier will host the biggest party in the city! Starting at 7 p.m., the site will brighten up of colourful musical entertainment to welcome visitors from everywhere, attended in large number. The party will go into full swing at 10 p.m., as the incomparable The Lost Fingers take the stage to sing the New Year, with the sparkling singer Valérie Amyot (La Voix), to « sing the New Year’s Eve ». Back on stage few weeks before the announced release of a new album, the band, accompanied by a very special artist, the guitarist François la Mitraille, will revisit the great classics of Holidays and the hits of the year as a Gipsy master, from the joyful « La cuisinière » by la Bottine Souriante – available now at montrealenfetes.com/en and on iTunes Canada – to succesful « Get Lucky » by Daft Punk.
Hearts will beat to the rhythm of their frenzied music until 11:55 p.m. Anticipation will grow with every passing minute and every passing second of the countdown, animated by turbulent and hilarious humourist Neev, « first round pick » seen this year at Festival Juste pour rire and at Zoofest especially, culminating in a spectacular finale… Thrills and good fun guaranteed !
